Conclusion of a US study that may have prevented BCG from Corona in Nepal

Conclusion of a US study that may have prevented 'BCG' from Corona in Nepal

So far the number of people infected with the coronavirus in Nepal is low and it is a pleasant feeling not to report any deaths due to COVID-19. The results of a recently published research among various estimates of what could be the reason behind this have pointed to an intriguing reason: The BCG vaccine that is essentially given to a girl child in Nepal may have strengthened Nepal's defense against COVID-19.

Although COVID-19 has spread to many countries around the world, the correlation between national BCG vaccine policy and COVID-19 mortality was analyzed by collecting data from different countries of the world, as the effects of the disease are seen in different countries.

A joint research report by six researchers, including Dr. Aaron Miller, of the Department of Biomedical Sciences, under the New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine in the United States, shows that there is a correlation between BCG vaccine policy and COVID-19 mortality nationwide.

BCG vaccine generally protects the respiratory tract infections. The researchers found that in many countries, BCG vaccination policies and COVID-19 mortality rates were likely to be in between.

Their analysis has shown that coronas such as Italy, the Netherlands, and the United States have been more affected than those who have adopted the policy of providing BCG vaccine to the parents for a long time.

Similarly, Corona's high mortality rate was also seen in countries that started the mandatory BCG policy. For example, Iran introduced the mandatory BCG policy only in 1984, which has a high mortality rate among its elderly population. Japan has implemented the BCG vaccine since 1947. Remember, even though COVD-19 has been infected in Japan since its inception and the worst form of social isolation, such as lockdown, is still not high.

Not only the mortality rate but the reported number of people with COVID-19 has a significant decrease in the long-term effects of BCG vaccine. If the initial results shown by this inquiry are also substantiated by other research, BCG vaccination will open a new potential door in the fight against COVID-19.

In our estimation that Pashupatinath may have been protecting Nepalese from Corona till now, it seems to us that there is little in the way. Although the fact that BCG vaccine is affected by the fact that we have been working for the immunization of Nepali people, our Nepali argument does not fail: if Pashupatinath had no mercy, how would we have got BCG vaccine?
