Bijaya Shahi: Introduction
Bijaya Shahi is a celebrated name in social media. He has been called as ‘Memory King'. Bijaya Shahi holds a ‘Champions Book of World Records' in the title ‘The Longest Sequence of Object Memorized in 30 seconds is 102 words' on 04 February 2020. The memory king Arpan Sharma has a Guinness world record in the title ‘The longest sequence of objects memorized in 1 minute is 42 words’. Sharma again managed to break that record by memorizing 83 words in 1 minute in 2020. Before that, Sagar Vuchi from India had a record of memorizing 52 words in 1 minute.
Some people believe that Shahi has Eidetic memory which has an ability to memorize a while image, words, and numbers precisely. Yes, he never miss a single word from the page he reads. A lot of people having the same ability claims that they have an eidetic memory, for example, James Lebron, a player. John Von Neumann, Swami Vivekananda are the acclaimed names in terms of memory and a lot of people out there have different memory skills.
Early life
Bijaya Shahi was born in Kalikot, Nepal in 1999. He was born to Parpanka Shahi (Father) and Parbati Shahi (Mother). His father is a teacher and his mother is a housewife. He is the youngest among three brothers. Binod Shahi and Bimal Shahi are his elder brothers. He spent his early life in Kalikot and completed secondary education there. He has completed higher secondary level education.
Becoming Renowned
Shahi came from a middle-class family and has faced a lot of struggles. He came to Kathmandu in 2072 B.S. He was a normal student at the school level. However, he managed to top in Grade 11. He told in an interview that he used to study for 18 hours a day while he was in class 12. After that, he discovered a new formula which made him memorize things easily. He told about this idea to other people but no one believed him at first. He told his dad too, who also couldn't believe him. His father believed when he demonstrated his idea by giving examples. After then, he approached to other people and came in highlight. Many interviews were taken and surprisingly he performed well by reading and memorizing things in a certain time. Appreciating his skill, Shahi was awarded with many prizes. The Government of Karnali Province awarded him with the prize of Two Lakh rupees. The chairman of Mahabir Village also awarded him with One Lakh Fifty thousand rupees.
Along with such rewards, Bijaya Shahi made the ‘Champions Book of World Record’ in February. Since then, he has been featuring in many programs and interviews and showing his talents. He surprised many people by memorizing an 1100 pages book in 10 minutes. He never fails to surprise people. He has demonstrated his outstanding skill among various people.
He has faced a lot of Controversies too. His unbelievable and unique capability has raised questions in the mind of many viewers. Some people criticize his talent as unscientific and baseless.
However, he has support from his well-wishers for his talents. Shahi dreams of teaching his skill to other people through seminars, as soon after the end of the COVID 19 pandemic. He also wishes to increase the literacy rate of Nepal by utilizing his talent.
