Lockdown does not end soon: PM
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the chief ministers of the seven states today discussed whether to make the lockdown more effective through video conferences on the prevention and control of the Coronavirus.
Talking to Prime Minister Oli from the Action Room at Singha Durbar, Prime Minister Oli said that efforts to prevent it were positive and that it was necessary to move forward in a more coordinated manner.
According to Prime Minister Oli's press advisor Surya Thapa, Prime Minister Oli had made it clear that the lockdown should not end soon, the border should be tightened, reckless remarks would not be accepted and sentiments would be spread.
Prime Minister Oli said, "It is not possible to open the lock-up here as we see the spread of infection in India. I urge you not to be careless about it. "
He made it clear that no mechanism other than the government was needed, and since the government itself has been working with authority, he has been staying in the house for seven days and instructed the government not to act as if he once instructed in the middle.
He said that the volunteers should act voluntarily and find no benefit to them. Stressing that there should be no administrative negligence in the lockdown, he directed the administration and the police to be vigilant in preventing fairs and gathering activities.
He called on all to be aware of the need to stop and protect the lives of the people, not to hurt the people. Prime Minister Oli appealed to common Nepalese sisters and brothers not to be affected by unnecessary confusion and misinformation elements, as the government was effectively and successfully focused on this task, saying there was no other alternative to maintaining social distance.
He said that till the end of corona infection control and elimination, the health sector of the country could achieve qualitative leaps, special progress in the management of laboratory, equipment and health materials and skilled manpower.
In a discussion that lasted more than two hours, the chief ministers of the seven provinces had informed about the initiatives and status of coronavirus control, prevention, and treatment in their respective provinces.
